Abstract

Collaboration and creativity skills are needed by students in this century. This study uses a qualitative method with a case study approach. The purpose of this study is to describe the process of integrating Arabic pop songs into Arabic language learning in grade XI, identify, analyze, and collaborate between students, and explain the supporting and inhibiting factors in implementing Arabic pop songs in Arabic language learning. The results of this study indicate that the implementation of Arabic pop songs in learning is carried out through the creation of a video project. The learning process involves students through the process of selecting appropriate Arabic pop songs, collaboration, video presentations, and reflection. The implementation can increase students' collaboration skills from 36% to 57%. Increased creativity from 65% to 84%. Supporting factors for implementation are the learning process is very enjoyable for students, students' vocabulary and pronunciation improve, and learning while playing. Inhibiting factors for the implementation of Arabic pop songs are the time needed, class conditions, controlling students requires thorough learning preparation.
