This study aims to understand the concept of Peace Building in the Conquest of Mecca from a contemporary interpretation perspective. The Conquest of Mecca was the greatest conquest in Islamic history, marking the beginning of the glory of Islam and influencing its development as a religion that carries the concept of comprehensive peace. Allah transformed Mecca from a symbol of arrogance and pride into a symbol of faith. The Conquest of Mecca had a major impact on the Arabs, leading them to embrace Islam en masse. This study uses the thematic interpretation of Muhammad Bakr al-Sadr, which presents a historical research method based on the theory of the Quran. The main source is the book of interpretation. The researcher found three categories of Quranic verses on the Conquest of Mecca: events before, during, and after the conquest. Each category presents the principles of peace building for the life of society: the prohibition of betrayal, the prohibition of making enemies allies, compassion for enemies after repentance, trustworthiness, upholding justice in government, equality and brotherhood, the command to be grateful, and patience.
